Chainmaille, or chain mail, or chain maille (good grief) is one of my latest addictions along with Dove chocolate covered caramels. Chainmaille is the art of holding 2 little pliers, lots of teeny weeny rings and cursing like a sailor on the Black Pearl. Oh yeah, it's a match made in heaven.

I took an open roundmaille weave, slid it over a leather cord, and dangled a sparkly green briolette (French for pretty green stone) from it all.

Guess if you can figure out why this is called the centipede weave. C'mon..guess! Because it looks like a centipede! At least to the guy who named it...Anywho, centipede weave with bright aluminum rings, and a magnetic closure. 7 1/2"

If I lived in the 1700's, I'd wear a pair of earrings like these. I'd also have to wear a corset and ride a horse, so it's just as well I've made them in the here and now. Byzantine weave in bright aluminum (lightweight!) with a super sparkly purple dangle on each one. 2"

This is one of the coolest pieces of jasper you'll ever see. Of course if you're a rockhound or a professional jasper observer (and who doesn't want that job for a living) you might see one or two prettier - but not very often! A greeny tannish, swirly, streaked marquise cut, neatly hemmed in with a box chain and toggle. 7 1/2" bright aluminum

Dragonstail weave, presumably because it looks like ...well...a dragons tail...(did you really need me to walk you through that one?) mixed with a spot of amazonite. Bright aluminum, 7 1/2"

Copper all the way! Y'know how copper gets that tarnish on it? Well the clasp and main focal are already oxidized, but you can keep the chain itself shiny by giving it a tiny soak in vinegar/salt solution. Take that Heloise! 7 1/2 shaggy loops weave. Lovely flower pattern on the focal.
